How ProFixer collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you book home services.
1. Introduction
ProFixer Home Services ("ProFixer") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website, apps, and services; why we collect it; and the choices you have. This policy applies to customers. Service professionals should read the Professional Privacy Policy.
2. Data we collect
- Account & identity — name, mobile number, email, profile photo (optional)
- Booking & location — service address, pin code, GPS coordinates (with permission), society name, flat details, access instructions
- Service details — category, problem description, photos/videos you upload, preferred time slots
- Payment — transaction IDs, payment method type, billing amounts (not full card numbers)
- Communications — support tickets, call recordings where disclosed, chat messages with support or professionals (as enabled)
- Device & usage — IP address, device type, app version, pages viewed, crash logs
- Reviews & feedback — ratings, comments, dispute information
3. How we use your data
- Facilitate bookings and assign suitable professionals near you
- Process payments, generate invoices, and handle refunds
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, and service updates via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or push notifications
- Provide customer support and resolve disputes
- Improve platform safety, detect fraud, and enforce our Terms
- Personalize offers and measure marketing performance (where permitted)
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax and law-enforcement requests
4. Sharing with professionals & partners
When you book a service, we share the minimum information a professional needs to perform the job: typically your name, contact number, service address, booking notes, and photos you provided. We do not share full payment card details with professionals.
We use trusted third parties for hosting, payments, SMS/WhatsApp delivery, analytics, and customer support tools. These processors act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
5. Retention
We retain account and transaction records as long as your account is active and for periods required by tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution laws (typically up to 8 years for financial records). Marketing preferences and analytics data may be retained for shorter periods.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Information Technology Act, 2000 — you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data; withdraw consent for optional processing; and lodge a grievance with our nodal officer (see Grievance Redressal).

7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring appropriate to a consumer marketplace. No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and report suspicious activity promptly.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
